STUDY TO GET MAXIMUM SCORE IN JEE SUBJECTS : BY AG SIR

How do I score above 90 marks in physics in Jee mains?

Physics is one of those subjects which is all about the concepts. Understanding the fundamentals and keeping your concepts clear is one of the most vital parts of solving questions in physics.

How should I prepare for JEE mains maths?

Mathematics is one of the most important subjects in clearing JEE Main. For certain individuals, Mathematics can be a subject they enjoy or a subject that they hate. Plus, having a good grip on this subject helps in physics and chemistry too.

When we compare the questions asked in JEE Main versus the questions asked in JEE advanced, we can see the questions asked in Jee Main is quite easy and maybe just a tad bit difficult than the CBSE papers. But even so, they’re challenging.

This is one of the subjects that requires speed and precision because more often than not, the paper is quite lengthy and most of the questions are based on high order thinking skills, so most of them will require you to use more than one concept in order to solve them.

Mathematics is a section that requires a lot of practice, not for a day but constantly and regularly in order to score well in your paper.

To give a brief overview of certain important topics in Mathematics:

Probability and Statistics– One of those topics which most students tend to leave but these are like one of the most scoring topics, it’s tough but with practice, you can score well.

Differential and Integral Calculus– the Most scoring subject of the paper, you have to remember a lot of formulas but once you have a good grip on that, solving questions isn’t that difficult.

Coordinate Geometry, Vector and 3D Geometry– Questions from this topic are generally straightforward so you can solve them easily by reading the questions properly.

Complex Numbers and Trigonometric Ratios and Algebra– Most of the students hate this part and aren’t very good at it. But in most papers have a good amount of questions from these topics.

The best way to prepare is to first start by completing your NCERT And any material you have from your you coaching institute. Plus ask your teachers which book would they recommend to you. After this you should head to previous year question papers or any question bank you can find, that has good questions. The main key is just constant efforts and practicing regularly.

How do I score around 80-90/120 in the JEE Main (chemistry)?

Chemistry is one of the most scoring subjects in the JEE MAIN paper. For most people score goes up because of this subject.

Scoring high in this subject (80 & above) isn’t a walk in the park, but when you’re putting in constant efforts for a long time, it’s not that difficult either.

There are 25 chapters (or topics) in the prescribed syllabus for chemistry JEE MAIN, combining 11th and 12th standard syllabus. And that is the reason why it’s difficult. The course is really vast and without constant and disciplined revision and practice, scoring well is just not possible.

The entire syllabus is divided into three parts

  • Inorganic chemistry
  • Organic chemistry
  • Physical chemistry

You just need to make sure your fundamentals are rock solid in almost all the topics and understanding and solving questions will be easy.

To give a brief overview of certain important topics in chemistry:

Chemical Bonding & the periodic table– To be honest these are the most important topics in Chemistry. Mastering Chemical Bonding and the properties of periodic table elements, then solving questions in a lot of topics will be a breeze.

General organic chemistry– Basic principles, hydrocarbons, carbonyl compounds being the most important.

Redox reactions, Mole Concept & the concept of equivalents – Again very basic and but really important.

Solid state, solutions & gases theory– Sometimes theoretical questions come from this part, solving these wouldn’t take any time if you’re clear with the concepts.

Thermochemistry & thermodynamics– Mostly numerical, but have a good weightage in the paper.

P, D & F block– Again, mostly theoretical questions from these chapters.

Having a good hold on these topics doesn’t guarantee you really good marks but these are one of the most important topics in the entire syllabus. Certainly, you need to study different topics too. Plus make a habit of making notes of anything you feel is important. Can be a formula, question, concept, anything.

AT LEAST 2,008 WOMEN SET TO JOIN IITs THIS YEAR AS GOVT HIKES RESERVATION TO 17% ( WOMEN EMPOWERMENT )

The women-only seats, or supernumerary seats, were introduced in 2018 in order to increase the number of girl students in IITs, which continues to be heavily skewed in favour of boys .

Mandatory 946 seats will be available exclusively for women who want to join IITs in the 2019 academic session as the government plans to increase the seats for women in the country’s top engineering institutions by bumping up the number of women-only seats by 167 seats — from 14 per cent (779) in 2018 to 17 per cent (946). Going by the recent trend, the number of women IITians can be speculated to be no less than 2,008.

The women-only seats, or supernumerary seats, were introduced in 2018 in order to increase the number of girl students in IITs, which continues to be heavily skewed in favour of boys.

In 2018, 1,062 girls made it to the IITs through the common merit list in the JEE (Advanced). But the government created 14 per cent, or 779 supernumerary seats, which took the number of girls in the IITs to 1,841, the highest so far. A total of 12,058 seats were on offer in the 23 IITs in 2018.

Sources in the Ministry of Human Resource Development said the success of supernumerary seats had prompted the government to increase it to 17 per cent in 2019.

The government is hoping that the creation of around 900 girl-only seats will bring a remarkable change in the gender disparity on IIT campuses.

“The plan was to take the total number of girls to 20 per cent in B Tech programmes in IITs by 2020-21 but we are targeting to achieve this in 2019 itself,” the official said.

A committee under IIT Mandi director Timothy A Gonsalves, which was formed to recommend ways to increase the enrollment of girls in undergraduate programmes at the premier technology institutes, had suggested creating supernumerary seats for women, which was accepted by the Centre .

In 2017, the girls’ admission percentage in B.Tech programmes was a mere 9.3 . But officials in the IITs said this year the presence of women was ensured in even those streams that were earlier shunned by them.

“While girl students often prefer computer, electric and electronic engineering to civil and mechanical, this year they were given more options,” a senior Joint Seat Allocation Authority said.

Dheeraj Sanghi, a senior professor at IIT Kanpur, said while creating women-only seat was “okay” to correct the gender imbalance at IITs, the authorities should also look at larger interventions such as ending gender biases at the examination level.

“What the government is telling girls is that while you cannot crack the entrance test, we will offer you seats through reservation. But why not end gender bias in the entrance test itself, making it easier for them to qualify?” he asked.

To avoid that boredom, you can opt for different learning mediums. For instance, if you studied just from books in your previous attempt, you can enroll for online courses offering live interactive classes and recorded video lectures. This will not just keep you motivated but will also boost your interest level in studies.

Learn and Evaluate your Mistakes :

The first step in JEE Main 2019 preparation for the second attempt is to look back and find out the mistakes that became a hindrance to your success. It could be anything from your timetable to the selection of coaching institute, learning techniques, and revision.

Common mistakes in JEE Main 2018 preparation that you should avoid when preparing for JEE Main 2018

Time management – If you think that you couldn’t manage your study time well due to a lot of traveling, going digital this time is the right choice.

Doubts – There are students who hesitate to ask their doubts in the class and skip the topics completely. If you also avoid asking doubts in front of other students, you can go and ask your doubts direct from teachers.

Revision – No matter how intelligent someone is, revision is essential to perform well in the exam. You can make the process easy and effective by revising the syllabus and important topics by watching videos.

Wrong learning style – Every student has own learning style like audio, visual, verbal, physical etc. Having knowledge of your learning style  helps you choose the most suitable technique. Based on your learning style, you can either choose one or go for blended learning like live interactive videos, e-books, webinars and printed study material.

Start learning through digital mediums:

This is the time to enroll for online JEE course at Matrix Digital learning portal and start preparation of JEE Main 2019  conveniently. It will not just help you save a lot of time wasted on daily travel but will also help you make a better study plan by utilizing those precious hours.

Focus on improvement and smart work

As you have already covered complete JEE Main syllabus in your previous attempt, there is no use of wasting time again on the same thing. To ensure that you don’t get stuck on the same topics or subjects again, enroll at digital program for subject-specific JEE course . You can buy courses in recorded video lectures to learn the selected topics. In your second attempt for JEE Main, you should be more focused on smart work than hard work.

Consider quality study material

To ace JEE Main 2019, you should look for the best study material, which is not just limited to the course books. Well-curated study material includes printed books, e-books, recorded video lectures and test series for better result .

Stay Positive

Losing positivity and confidence is a mistake most of the students make after knowing that they couldn’t crack JEE Main. This makes the situation worse for them by giving extra stress and pressure of performing better in JEE Main 2019. Instead of thinking of the previous result, you should focus on your goal of cracking JEE Main 2019.

So, don’t feel dejected as this is not the end of the world. Take a time-out and start a new journey to come out with flying colors in your second attempt. By correcting your mistakes and getting right guidance, you can really make it big.

WAYS TO DEVELOP SELF-DISCIPLINE TO CONQUER JEE MAIN & ADVANCED 2019

A good number of students appear for Joint entrance exam in India every year. Surprisingly, the number of applicants is only increasing. Thus, making the competition even tougher and harder to crack. This makes it vital for JEE aspirants to devise a strategy that not only helps in completing the syllabus on time but also in scoring the desired score. Unfortunately, many students miss out on the most crucial part of the preparation – self-discipline.

“Once you have a commitment, you need discipline and hard work to get you there.”

Self-discipline when combined with sheer hard work and a robust preparation plan can do wonders. It is all about controlling your impulses and desires in an attempt to conquer one of the toughest examinations – JEE . So, if you are preparing for JEE  2019 and clueless about how to master self-discipline, we are here for you.

Here are few effective tips that will help you master self-discipline and conquer JEE :

Know and Accept Your Weaknesses

Every aspirant has weaknesses. Whether it is a numerical or periodic table, there are always certain weaknesses that lower the confidence of aspirants. The trick here is to acknowledge your shortcomings and work towards honing them. Own up to your shortcomings, practice hard and don’t put them aside until you conquer them. However, don’t be too hard on yourself as it may cause ill effects to both mental and physical health.

Have a Solid Execution Plan

If you hope to succeed in the Joint entrance exam (JEE), you must have a solid execution plan with a clear goal in mind. With an idea of what you want to achieve and accomplish, mastering self-discipline will become a cake walk. After all, if you do not have a clear goal in mind, it will be easier for you to get sidetracked and lose focus.

A solid execution plan will help you stay on track, stay focused and establish a clear finish line. This approach also helps in setting priorities and lets you stick to it.

Understand Your Priorities

When it comes to preparing for the JEE  in India, it is vital to understand your priorities in terms of the weight-age the subjects carry. With a better understanding of the priorities, you will be able to motivate yourself properly. For example, biology carries the maximum number of questions in JEE, so its preparation must be prioritized to score well.

Don’t Let Distractions Rule Your Mind

Distractions are your biggest enemy when preparing for the Joint entrance examination(JEE). To have a greater sense of control while studying, be sure of choosing a spot that is quiet and away from distractions. In addition, keep your mobile phone and other gadgets away to stay focused. Self-discipline involves self-help; thus, work towards balancing your studies while keeping distractions away.

Visualize Your Future

Another great way to develop self-discipline to conquer JEE is by visualizing your future. You must constantly focus on how you want your future to be like. Keep it distinct and clear in your mind to make it act as a driving force. This will eventually prove to be the greatest motivator and will certainly inculcate self-discipline in you gradually.

Always Have a Backup Plan

When preparing for JEE, it is imperative to have a backup plan for your preparation. There will be times when the previous strategy will not work, and you will require a new plan of action to complete the syllabus. For such instances, always have a backup plan. For this, you can seek help from fellow aspirants and the faculty of your coaching institute. A backup plan will never let you deviate from your path and keep up the discipline factor intact.

In a nutshell, self-discipline is not only about continually doing something; it is instead about methodically regulating, correcting, and adapting yourself to the altering conditions and situations of life. The above tips can be extremely effective and useful if properly executed, and you will eventually begin seeing changes that will imbibe self-discipline. Also, watch out  motivational video on how to become successful by implementing success in our thoughts.

5 BEST LEARNING TIPS : TO BECOME TOPPER IN JEE MAIN & ADVANCED 2019

Each and every students always been the top rank in jee . Are you one of those who tend to celebrate mavericks and scholars who break boundaries and work exceptionally to get where they want to? Before you read further, understand that there is no magic formula guaranteeing exam success. Experts agree that in order to reach great heights, you need to push through barriers and expand your skills. Just hard work or burning the midnight oil won’t bear fruits. In order to experience a tectonic shift in your academic career, it is imperative that you learn like a topper. Scroll down to find out some of the methods that toppers use in order to ace the exams.

Excellent Subject Knowledge and Understanding of Concepts

A good command over the subject is definitely one of the important traits of a topper. Toppers ensure that they have a deep understanding of the subject and are thorough with the theoretical aspects. In addition to that, toppers lay focus on concepts. They ensure their concepts are clear which helps them learn things easily and retain the information for long. It is rightly said, the race is half won if your fundamentals and concepts are clear. Therefore, it is advisable to understand the concepts and learn.

” Learning with understanding is facilitated when new and existing knowledge is structured around the major concepts and principles of the discipline.”

Smart work along with hard work

Everyone can work hard and to the best of their abilities but what is important is to work smart in order to keep pace with the competitive world. Toppers work smartly and effectively which helps them bag good scores. They use study techniques such as note making, pomodoro technique (The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method ), mnemonics ( A mnemonic device, or memory device, is any learning technique that aids information retention or retrieval (remembering) in the human memory ) etc which helps them learn more and in less time. Toppers work smartly by respecting time and managing it effectively, thereby boosting their productivity.

” Many people work hard, but only a few become really successful, that’s because smart work is what makes the difference. ”

Turns weaknesses into strengths

Analyzing your strengths and weaknesses is a crucial part of learning. However, not working on improving those weaknesses can become a major hurdle in the path to success. Toppers first work on their weaknesses and if they still have doubts they get them cleared in time. Their focus is on correcting their short comings and reinforcing what they already know.

Knowing your strength and weaknesses during JEE preparation is crucial . A SWOT analysis of your preparation for JEE can be done at this stage to help determine the best strategy ahead . You need to identify your strengths, weaknesses , opportunities and threats right now

Strengths :  The topics which you find easiest and you are confident of answering all questions correctly .

Weaknesses : These topics you are not very confident about .You don’t think you can answer most question from this topic.

Opportunities :  These could be topic in which you have average preparation at the moment .

Threats :  Topics in which you always mess up during JEE preparation .You are pretty sure by now that you can hardly answer any question.

Continuous Improvisation

Scoring the highest marks in all the tests and subjects does not deter a topper from taking studies seriously. Toppers continuously work hard throughout the year constantly improvising their skills and knowledge. They never lose their focus nor do they stop learning. They keep on revising what has already been tested along with learning whatever is taught new. They improvise on their learning strategies and adopt a positive attitude towards their preparation.

Proper analysis of test papers and improve each mistakes you did during exams , never repeat mistakes again if you want to maximize score  in final exam .

Never gives up

Nothing ever deters the spirit of a topper. No matter how hard the journey to success is, no matter how many hurdles are there, a topper never gives up. He/she puts in all the effort required to make it to the top. A topper studies consistently, spends time in the library, is always ahead of the class, practices hard and makes a number of sacrifices but never gives up.

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID WHILE PREPARING FOR JEE MAIN & ADVANCED 2019

While preparing for JEE Main and Advanced, you often tend to make some silly mistakes that could affect your scores and rank. Here are some common mistakes that students make, which can be avoided easily with some guidance and help.

1)  Not taking enough tests : If you spend all of your time just learning and solving exercises, it won’t give you enough practice. The trick to achieving excellent result is by taking regular practice tests and timing yourself. You will find some challenging practice test series for JEE here.

2) Ignoring class XI syllabus Class XI syllabus forms a foundation for what you learn in class XII. Therefore, equal amount of importance should be given to the syllabus of both the classes. A thorough revision of class XI concepts will be of great use for JEE preparation.

3)  Referring to several publications for preparing :  While preparing for JEE, students end up buying a lot of different books that they never use. You should  prepare majorly from your NCERT books. You can also have a study group among friends and share books and practice tests.

4) Avoiding difficult questions : Most of you skip the difficult questions you come across while solving  practice     tests and previous year’s question papers. Instead of skipping or avoiding these questions, you should take help from subject experts and practice these until you master them.

5) Staying up all night before the exam : The worst mistake that students make under pressure is that they stay up all night before the exam, revising! There is nothing extra that you can do in one night. Take this night to relax, eat well and sleep early so you wake up fresh. Staying up all night will only make you tired and sleepy while you’re taking the exam and you will lose concentration.

6) Having doubts about your preparation : At the last minute, there is no point in cribbing about what all you could have done. Be confident about whatever you have studied and about your preparation. Doubting yourself will only confuse you and will be discouraging which can ultimately hamper your concentration while taking the exam.

7) Skipping long questions : During the exam, students skip long questions and come back to these after completing the entire paper. You shouldn’t get scared of too many words in the questions which makes them look long. Such questions are usually easy. You just need to have patience, read them slowly and understand them.

8) Spending extra time on easy question : After preparing for JEE for months together, you have an idea of the subject and chapters you excel in. Students spend extra time on such questions instead of devoting the same time on the difficult questions. This mistake should definitely be ignored.

9) Marking on OMR Sheet in the last half an hour :Another silly mistake that students make in JEE is marking the answers on the OMR  sheet in the last half an hour. Answers should be marked side by side while attempting questions. Marking on OMR  sheet in the end increases the possibility of ticking the wrong answers.

10) Discussing questions in between papers : Discussing questions with peers in the gap between papers has proven to be a commonly made mistake. It either makes you over confident or completely shakes-up your confidence. Refrain from talking about the answers in the time gap. Instead, use that time to revise important parts of the syllabus of the upcoming exam with your friends.

Avoid these silly mistakes and you will surely excel in JEE. You definitely will achieve the best results if you put in great efforts. We wish you ALL THE BEST!

FIRST ATTEMPT FOR JEE MAIN ? MUST READ TO CRACK THE EXAM

Students aiming for admissions to IITs  this year have to appear for JEE Main 2019, which is the most competitive engineering entrance exam. As we all know that JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in the month of January. In this article we have discussed the most important points to be focused which will help you to crack JEE Main in the FIRST ATTEMPT.

Tips to crack JEE Main 2019 in the first attempt :

1. Syllabus – students must be aware of the syllabus for the engineering entrance exam as the question paper is based completely on the syllabus only, so students must check latest and updated syllabus.

2. Paper pattern and marking scheme – apart from the syllabus, aspirants must know about the paper pattern of IIT JEE which mentions the type of questions, marking scheme, questions’ weight age as well as other important details of IIT JEE question paper.

3. Study Material – Suitable study material for preparation of examination is really important because of right study material for JEE preparation. The JEE preparation study material should include past year question papers, mock tests, NCERT books etc. so that the students can only prepare the questions based on syllabus and pattern of JEE main 2018.

4. Emphasis on theory –  JEE paper is based on numerical as well as theory questions, however, students should focus more on the theory part because most questions are formed and asked from theoretical part of chapters. Moreover, understanding theory helps in solving numerical questions easily.

5. Understanding of basic concepts – Before, starting to solve the questions for JEE preparation, make sure you know all the relevant basic concepts. Because, if your basic concepts are not clear then you will be stuck in questions for a long time and it will waste your time. As JEE paper has limited time duration students need to work on time management and clearing basic concepts will help on improving on this part.

6. Make notes for each chapter – For every chapter of JEE syllabus, you can make handy notes during preparation so, and that it is easier to revise in last few days remaining for the exam.

7. Value for quality over quantity – Instead of taking all topics at a time, you need to take concepts from each chapter one by one. This will make your understanding better as you won’t be confused and will take less time with organised learning approach.

8. Previous year question papers – Students should practice JEE Main question papers for at least past 5 years because it will help them estimate the type of question and weight age as well for each section of the test paper.

9. Give equal importance to class 11 and class 12 subjects (syllabus) – This is no hidden fact that, JEE Main question paper is based on the syllabus of class 11 as well as class 12. The weight age ratio of JEE Main question paper is either 40:60 or 60:40 for class 11 and class 12 but the ratio can be 50:50 as well. So, students need to study from the syllabus of both classes with equal importance.

10. Rejoice your studies and preparation – Don’t take stress while preparation of JEE Main rather you should enjoy and approach the exam positively. If you take the exam as a burden or obligation than you won’t be able to put your best efforts and will be stressed about it. Stress will have a negative impact and you will be prone to anxiety attacks about JEE Main results and won’t be able to perform better.

11. Analyse and take insights of your preparation level – You must regularly do self-analysis which will help you know your strengths and weaknesses. Try to cross-check your preparation level by taking mock tests from chapters you have studied long ago; this way you’ll be able to judge if you understood the concept and whether you will be able to perform in the upcoming exam with accuracy.

12. To know your actual preparation, attempt – To improve your speed and accuracy for the upcoming JEE Main exam, you should take mock test from chapters you have studied a month ago or so for example you studied Coordination compound 1 from chemistry 2 months ago and currently you are preparing Optics from JEE Main physics syllabus, then you can take a test for chemistry Coordination compound 1. This will help you analyse, your preparation for this topic. This is an unplanned manner of preparation to cross-check your preparation.

13. Solve indefinite practice papers – Last formula for success in JEE Main exam in the first attempt is by taking/solving as many as practice papers as possible. The more you practice, the more your speed and accuracy of solving the questions improves. Also, if you are taking a computer-based test of JEE Main then you must take the online mock test as many as possible, this way you will gain experience of attempting online paper on a real-time basis.

NORMALIZATION PROCEDURE BASED ON PERCENTILE SCORE BY NTA : JEE MAIN 2019

NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2019 examination on multiple dates, generally in two sessions per day. The candidates will be given different sets of questions per session and it is quite possible that in spite of all efforts of maintaining equivalence among various question papers, the difficulty level of these question papers administered in different sessions may not be exactly the same. Some of the candidates may end up attempting a relatively tougher set of questions when compared to other sets. The candidates who attempt the comparatively tougher examination are likely to get lower marks as compared to those who attempt the easier one. In order to overcome such a situation, “Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score” will be used for ensuring that candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the examination.

The process of Normalization is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multi session papers and is similar to those being adopted in other large educational selection tests conducted in India. For normalization across sections, NTA shall use the percentile equivalence.

Percentile Scores :

Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. Basically the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examines.

The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore the topper(highest score) of each session will get the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles.

The Percentile score will be the Normalized Score for the examination and shall be used for preparation of the merit lists. The Percentile Scores will be calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid bunching effect and reduce ties.

The Percentile score of a Candidate is calculated as follows:

= (100 X Number of candidates appeared in the „Session‟ with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate)/ (Total number of the candidates appeared in the ‟Session‟)

Note: The Percentile of the Total shall NOT be an aggregate or average of the Percentile of individual subject.Percentile score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.

Methods of Resolving Ties :

The overall merit / ranking shall be based on the Percentile scores of the Total Raw Scores. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal Percentile Scores in the Test, the inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:

(a) Candidates obtaining higher Percentile Score in Mathematics in the Test.

(b) Candidates obtaining higher Percentile Score in Physics in the Test.

(c) Candidates obtaining higher Percentile Score in Chemistry in the Test.

(d) Candidates older in age to be preferred.

Step-by -Step Procedure For Normalization and Preparation of Merit / Rank List:

Step-1: Distribution of Examines in two days and in two shifts per day
Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates. These four sessions would be as follows:

Session-1: Day-1 Shift-1, Session-2: Day-1 Shift-2,
Session-3: Day-2 Shift-1 and Session-4: Day-2 Shift-2

In the event of more number of days or more number of shifts, the candidates will be divided accordingly.  his will ensure that there is no bias in the distribution of candidates who shall take the examination. Further, with a large population of examines spread over the entire country the possibility of such bias becomes remote.

Step-2: Preparation of Results for each Session:
The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of
1. Raw Scores
2. Percentiles Scores separately for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the Total.

The following 4 Percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the Session:
Let T1,M1, P1, C1 be the raw scores in Total, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of a candidate and T1P, M1P, P1P, C1P be the Percentile Scores of Total, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of that candidate.

Total Percentile (T1P)  = 100 X (No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than T1 score Total No. of candidates appeared in the session)

Mathematics Percentile (M1P): 100 X (No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than M1 score in Mathematics / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session)

Physics Percentile (P1P):  100 X (No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than P1 score in Physics / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session)

Chemistry Percentile (C1P): 100 X (No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than C1 score in Chemistry / Total No. of candidates appeared in the session)

Step-3: Compilation of NTA score and Preparation of Overall Merit/Rank List :
The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions (Session-1: Day-1 Shift-1, Session 2: Day-1 Shift-2, Session-3: Day-2 Shift-1 and Session-4: Day-2 Shift-2) as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the NTA scores which will then be used for compilation of result and preparation of overall Merit List / Ranking. The Percentile of all four sessions will be calculated separately for the Total raw score and the raw scores in three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

Compilation and display of Result for multi session Papers of JEE (Main) for examinations conducted twice (First and Second attempt) before admissions to the next academic session:

  • Compilation of Result for First attempt :
Since, first attempt will be conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session as per above procedure. The calculated NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for declaration of result. The result shall comprise the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the first attempt.
  •  Compilation of Result for Second attempt:
Similarly, second attempt will be conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session as per above procedure. The calculated NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for declaration of result. The result shall comprise the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the second attempt.
  •  Compilation of Result and Preparation of Merit List / Ranking:
The four NTA scores for each of the candidates for the first attempt as well as for the second attempt will be merged for compilation of result and preparation of overall Merit List / Ranking. Those appeared in both the attempts; their best of the two NTA scores will be considered further for preparation of Merit List /Ranking.
